For twenty centuries, the 'church' has faithfully served it's purpose as a halfway house.
However, Jesus came to set the prisoners free and He knew, because we are all prisoners of a sinful world, that without Him here, we needed a halfway house.
Long term prisoners upon their release go to a halfway house in order to learn how to adjust to a world they no longer know, a society that is different. The purpose is for them to learn the way of life in that society and leave the halfway house behind to live in it. However, many re-offend in order to go back to prison (recidivism). They feel more secure in their prison cell and in a society they have adapted to over such a long time. It's where they feel comfortable, it's what they know.
It is time for the body of Christ to go all the way and get off the fence. To leave the comfort of the prison society and the security of the halfway house. To step up to higher ground and embrace the true way of eternal life that is the society of Heaven. A way of life where no one has a 'care in the world', literally. Where our faith and trust in God is ABSOLUTE and the only care that anyone has, is to love God and one another in true humility, holiness and brotherly love. A society where everything is not even communal property, as it all belongs to the creator, God.
Where we know that material things are just stage props in His blockbuster movie of eternal life in His Kingdom and that, in the words of Shakespeare, 'the world is a stage and all the men and women merely actors'. We can all be shining stars in His movie! It's time to act!
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?Matthew 16:25-26
Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall. humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the kings horses and all the kings men, couldn't put Humpty together again.
