The Character of God
Upon entering the presence of God, the first thing that one is aware of, is the Love that literally flows through every part of your being and out 'through every pore' of the body, like a mighty, rushing river. One also senses an atmosphere rich in reverence and holiness, along with the overwhelming, indescribable peace within. The peace that comes from not being connected to the 5 senses of the 'flesh' (mortal mind & body).
One senses, through every tiny part of one's being, the transformation that occurs into the truly majestic stature that is brought to life through the manifest presence of ALL the moral virtues, existing to a level of absoluteness beyond comprehension, and that fills every part of one's mind, body and soul.
"and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness." Ephesians 4:24
The depth and magnitude of the virtues of Graciousness, Nobility, Honour, Dignity, Compassion, Mercy, Courage, Assertiveness, Acceptance, Confidence, Courtesy, Faithfulness, Forbearance, Forgiveness, Gentleness, Honesty, Patience, Reverence, Wisdom and Humility (to name a few), in their absoluteness, can only be experienced to be truly fathomed and understood.
Suffice to say, that when the moral virtues are fully made manifest in us, through the indwelling presence of the Great (all powerful) Omniscient (all aware) Diety (eternal prescience) of Eternal Love, our stature is transformed & transfigured, reflecting the true majesty that is the character of God. The character of absolute virtue.
When someone asks, "How should I be like Jesus?" The answer is really not in healing the sick, forgiveness of sins, casting out demons, or performing miracles in general. The answer is, to live a life of virtue, to ask "what is the virtuous (right) thing to do?" in all circumstances. It is from true, absolute virtue that all miracles are brought about. Consider the women with the issue of blood, who when she touched the hem of Jesus garment was healed and Jesus stopped and said, "Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me." Luke 8:46.
