THE PILGRIM'S PROGRESS - AUSTRALIAN EDITION
I took the narrow path and ventured on my pilgrimage, around this land of the dreamtime and the walkabout, from the tropical rainforests, to the Outback and more, with nothing but the holy spirit to lead the way and God's providence, and I can honestly say that I have reached the destination, the "Celestial City".
Therefore, this is a story that I can truly relate to and so, in all good faith, I believe that it's not only fitting, but also God's will for me, to write an Australian edition.
Rich colloquialisms like, "fair dinkum, technicolour yawn and drongo" aren't used anywhere near as much as they used to be. Australia has become a multi-culturally diverse nation, yet Aussies still have their own way of talking. So I've set out to write this edition using the grammatical style of everyday Australian English and therefore easy enough for every Australian and even non-Australians to read, from children to adults, city-dwellers to Outback Jackaroos, while maintaining faithfulness to the style, meaning, doctrine and purposes of John Bunyan.
