All sin has a source, so the best way to overcome sin, is to beat it at it's source and that Source In Negativity, is the nature of the carnal mind with the instinct of survival. It lives for death!
The entity that dwells in that nature has no vision of eternal life and cannot imagine what it might be like, as their imagination is focused upon their survival. As Satan was granted authority within the troposphere, it is his spirit that as the source, is the way of that nature.
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedienceEphesians 2:2
Regardless of any of the multitude of different ways we all imagine ourselves to be in life, the daily way of life in heaven, as an actual citizen of the true kingdom of God and walking in it's streets, comes from our minds being attuned to the stream of God's dream, it's His Image-Nation, for each and all of us.
The way of life the Bible as a whole portrays, (while understanding that it was written by people who were also struggling with sin in themselves), baffles the mind.
God tells us in so many ways (because, while a picture paints a thousand words, it takes millions of words to paint a picture), about a true vision shared, of a TRUE WAY OF LIFE, beyond our wildest imagination, in a KINGDOM! Why a kingdom?
There is a reason for the true way of life to be like a kingdom. Because we are clothed in His true righteousness, absolute virtue! Grace without measure, holiness without end and indescribable peace, with love flowing through every part of us, like a lively river of joy, full of light and full of life and all we have to do is be truly, truly humble enough to allow Him to make of us what He will and in His presence, there will be no sin, nothing within us that has it's Source In Negativity.
Thus the power of humility is greater than courage or any other virtue, as it is the only one that can defeat sin at it's source.
This is why we must submit to Jesus as the King of our Kingdom, as it strengthens our humility and in that submission, all the other virtues start to manifest within us, as God fills us with His spirit of holiness (Holy Spirit), transforming us from glory to glory.
