Not long after I had given everything away and stepped out into the world for God to teach me through direct experience, I was in the Daintree Rainforest, Far North Queensland. At a place called Thornton's Beach.
While I was there I had found a piece of plywood (3ply) and painted a sign on it with Acrylic (water based) paint. I can't remember what I painted on it, but it was something about God's peace, love and joy.
In the year that followed, I hitch-hiked down the east coast of Australia to Melbourne and after passing through Sydney, I got a lift with a man who turned out to be the CEO for the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Australia. He gave me a letter that he signed, which enabled me to walk into any St. Vincent de Paul charity store in the country and ask for anything I might need, food, clothing, bedding, etc. I only ever needed to use it a couple of times.
I continued on from Melbourne, across to Adelaide, then up through the red center.
After almost a year, I was in Cooktown, north of the Daintree Rainforest. I began hitch-hiking along the Daintree road, but after a couple of kilometres I was covered in red dust and the only vehicles that passed by were 4WD's rented by tourists. Needless to say, I ended up walking the whole way.
Fortunately, being a rainforest, there was plenty of fresh water, along with the danger of crocodiles, cassowaries, wild pigs and venomous snakes.
After two days walking, with nothing to eat, I arrived at Thornton's Beach after almost a year, to the day. After about half an hour of standing on the side of the road, tired, filthy and hungry, a man stuck his head out from the bushes behind me. "G'day mate!" he said. "You look like you could use something to eat, would you fancy a carrot?"
I shyly accepted the carrot and thanked God for His providence as I started to eat it. When I was about halfway through, the man then said, "Tell you what! We've cooked up a feast on the barbeque back here, why don't you come and have a shower and join us for a decent feed"
I humbly accepted and after a nice hot shower, I sat down with them at their makeshift table which was covered with food. As I picked up a bowl of something, I suddenly realised that the makeshift table was the sign I had painted when I was there the year before and I was amazed that it had not only survived the tropical monsoon season, but that the writing was still clearly legible. I told the others at the table about it and they were equally amazed. The man who had invited me then said, "You know what else is amazing, is that I just fished that out of the trash this morning before the truck took it away!"
God then spoke to me and said, "this is a sign, that I will always provide for you." I truly enjoy God's sense of humour.
After much experience, I can completely affirm that God has always kept His word and that when you step out in true faith, then miraculous things can and do happen. God always meets us halfway. If we do our bit and have the courage to surrender our life to Him and step out of our comfort zone and let go of the world, He will not only provide, He will also cause the most amazing signs and wonders around you.
He has used me on numerous occasions to impact groups and communities and in every instance He caused signs and wonders to occur which blew people's minds and resulted in revival, to some degree.
I am no more special than anyone and He is here for anyone who has the courage to let go and step out in absolute faith. Sure, I've slept under a few bridges and endured feast and famine, but I can honestly say, that I have never been happier and more at peace in my life, than when I had nothing but the Lord and His Holy Spirit with me.
If you truly want to know God and experience the supernatural presence of the Holy Spirit in a truly powerful way and have Him reveal His kingdom fully to you, then I encourage you to get rid of everything you have and cleanse yourself of everything that is not of God and have the courage to step out in absolute faith. He will be with you.
If you need someone to hold your hand, then that is why I have been through it all and why God has been preparing me for this time. To gather those who are ready to surrender all to Him and walk in faith together. He has given me a vision, of a countless number of people on a big, long camping trip (crusade/revival), all filled with His supernatural true love, rapturous joy and the spirit of His holiness and grace (Holy Spirit) and told me that it is all about being real, singing around a campfire and "getting down to earth with Jesus". I know that it will come to pass, no matter the doubts in people's mind or what they choose to think, because He's never shown me anything before that didn't and because I know it to be His will, beyond the shadow of any doubt.
