Lambs In Lions Clothing
And even he who is valiant, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will melt completely. For all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man, and those who are with him are valiant men.2 Samuel 17:10
The scriptures tell us that satan prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. God paints the picture of satan with a heart like a lion, puffed up with his own sense of virtue and what is right (righteousness). Clothing himself like a lamb, he makes out that he is humble and innocent, yet his agenda is to magnify his own righteousness and his own truth, to make others serve the Great Omniscient Deity that he thinks he is.
Because your heart is lifted up, And you say, 'I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods, In the midst of the seas,' Yet you are a man, and not a god, Though you set your heart as the heart of a godEzekial 28:2
There are many leaders in the church today, who are proud of their position and puff themselves up like royalty, with a congregation of subjects bowing down to them and keeping them in power with their taxes (tithes). They spend the tithe on overseas ministries to be seen to be doing good, while members of their own congregation suffer. The tithe is meant to help members of the family when they need it. If everyone gives ten percent, then when someone in the congregation is in trouble, there's some money there to help them out. It's called the honor system.
God wants us to have the heart of a lamb, humble and trusting, yet innocent and playful, just like a little child.
but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.1 Peter 1:19
The scriptures also tell us, that while we should be humble, innocent and trusting like the lamb, within our hearts, we should however, clothe ourselves with the lion, which will then (super)naturally protect the lamb within. It is the armor of God's righteousness (absolute virtue).
Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, And let Your saints shout for joyPsalm 132:9
by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left2 Corinthians 6:7
A lion of heaven is not proud, yet it is noble, dignified, gracious and courageous. It is in fact, ABSOLUTE VIRTUE personified, the epitome of the perfect gentleman, or lady, with the heart of a lamb and an attitude of service to our king and His kingdom of the living God.
It is absolutely impossible for any of us to be as virtuous (righteous) as the lion (king) of heaven. You can not even imagine the true might and majesty of His love and virtue. The only way that we can be made like that, is to humble ourselves before our creator, the eternal God of eternal love and allow Him to direct our thoughts, words and deeds, according to His will and His will, is for us to co-operate together in the service of our king, country and one another, with a genuine sense of camaraderie and true brotherly love in a common accord.
Ultimately, when we have truly surrendered all that we are in mind, body and soul and no longer live for our selves, but for the greater good of God and His kingdom, He will fill us with His spirit of eternal love's true, majestic holiness and clothe us in eternal love's absolute virtue (righteousness).
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewelsIsaiah 61:10
Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.1 John 3:2
